PN Racing Lower T-Bar Support for LM in Steel

Optional support for the lower rear suspension plate (T) made of steel, in silver color, for use only on the optional PN Racing PNR2.5W chassis when working with a 102mm wheelbase.

This part, manufactured by PN Racing in steel, is used to ballast and balance the optional chassis manufactured by PN Racing PNR2.5W while also strongly holding the lower T suspension plate.

Characteristics:

This steel bracket has two countersunk M2 threaded holes, allowing it to be attached to the PN Racing PNR2.5W chassis. It also has two additional holes for attaching the T-plate (either MM or RM) to the bracket, and consequently, to the chassis.

What advantages does this piece offer us?

As we've already mentioned, this bracket prevents the suspension T-plate from moving due to torsional forces, impacts, etc. Furthermore, it prevents damage to the threaded holes of the PNR2.5W composite chassis, since each time we attach the suspension T-plate, we'll be doing so using the steel thread of the bracket we're presenting, and not the plastic thread of the chassis.
Finally, in this specific case, the part adds extra weight (which is why it's made of steel) to the lowest and most centered part of the chassis. Therefore, it helps lower the chassis's center of gravity.

Should we always use it?

We recommend this optional part to drivers using the PNR2.5W chassis for competition. In competitions, drivers adjust the weight of the entire assembly (chassis + body + batteries + transponder) to the minimum weight allowed by the regulations of the competition they are participating in. To do this, they use some lightweight optional parts made of aluminum, fiberglass, or carbon fiber. They also work to lighten the body itself, using spoilers and windows made of Lexan. If, in addition, as is common, they use very powerful motors (especially lightweight brushless motors) along with high-capacity AAA batteries, RP747 NiMH batteries, or EP555 Li-Ion batteries, it will most likely be necessary to ballast the car to reach the minimum weight requirement. This also provides much greater stability in corners for our Mini-Z with the PNR2.5W chassis and balances its power-to-weight ratio.
