Eccentric bearing adapters for motor mounts

Original replacement part of the eccentric adapter set for adjusting the height of the rear axle (differential), valid only for the optional motor mounts manufactured by PN Racing, for the Kyosho Mini-Z Racer RWD (rear-wheel drive) MR04, MR03, MR02, MR01 and for the Mini-Z F1.

This set consists of 4 eccentric pieces in total, two eccentrics marked with the number 1, and two eccentrics marked with the number 2.

What will we use these eccentric pieces for?

These eccentric pieces are inserted into the optional engine mounts, generally manufactured in aluminum by PN Racing. Specifically, these pieces are located on both sides of the engine mount. In this way, these eccentric adapters serve as housings for the ball bearings on which the rear differential axle is mounted.

Therefore, we will use these eccentric pieces to be able to mount the rear axle bearings.

Since these are eccentric adapters, the hole into which we will insert the bearing is not centered, so we can mount the bearings and consequently the differential shaft at different heights.

This is the main function of this part; to regulate the height of the rear axle by adjusting the height of the differential axle.

How do these parts work in engine mounts?

By mounting the two pairs of eccentric pieces, number 1 and number 2, in their two positions (hole facing up or hole facing down), we obtain a total of four possible height positions for the rear axle relative to the engine mount. It is clear that if we mount eccentric number 2 with the hole facing up on the right side of the engine mount, we must do the same on the left side.

The idea behind these eccentric adapters is to lower the rear of the chassis as much as possible to achieve higher cornering speeds. Our recommendation is to keep the car as balanced as possible. Therefore, we can lower the rear axle if we also lower the front axle, and the result of this adjustment to both axles is a well-balanced chassis, level with the ground.
